Clothing or accessories made with your dog or cat's fur: Giulia and Alessandro's idea that becomes a business.

The protagonists of this story are Giulia and Alessandro, a couple from the Marche region who have combined their passion for yarns with their love for animals. It all started a bit by chance from the pack of their dog named Asaki . From that pack Giulia and Alessandro collected over two kilos of fibre and came up with the idea of spinning it to create unique balls of wool. What seemed like a game then slowly transformed into a business thanks to word of mouth and the constant attention of the dog world. In a short time they found themselves with hundreds of requests and waiting lists of over 15 months. It was necessary to structure themselves and since then they have dedicated themselves exclusively to their business " Lana di Cane " with requests even from abroad.

How does dog wool spinning work?

The first step is to collect your pet's fur in a container, such as a paper bag or a cardboard box. The recommendation is to never press the fur but rather fray it until it creates a cloud, and not to wash it or use products to perfume it. Once you have a good amount of fur, you can send it to Giulia and Alessandro's company with a photo of your pet and its name: it will be used to personalize the label of the ball.
